The Program for Intensive English (PIE) is an intensive English program on Indiana University Indianapolis’s campus. We offer academic English training (ESL classes) in 7 levels for international students and residents of Indiana. PIE graduates have gone on to the workforce, or to study their Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programs at IU-Indianapolis, Purdue University, University of Indianapolis, Butler University, Ivy Tech Community College, and other Universities around the world.

The mission of the PIE is to provide non-native English speakers with high-quality, principled, research-based instruction and supportive advising that will help them develop the communication and academic skills as well as the cultural understanding necessary to be successful in academic, professional, and social settings.

Session Dates:

We offer 6 sessions per year. Students can start at the beginning of any session.
